DropPin ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Location Data: We access your device's location to display your position on the map and show nearby saved places. Location data is used only within the app and is not transmitted to external servers.
Photos & Camera: Photos you attach to pins are stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not access or store your photos on our servers.
Microphone & Voice Notes: Voice recordings are stored locally on your device. We use on-device speech recognition (Apple's Speech framework) to transcribe your notes. Audio data is not sent to our servers.
Contacts: If you choose to link a contact to the "Told By" field, we access only the selected contact's name. We do not upload or store your contacts list.
All your data (pins, collections, voice notes, photos) is stored locally on your device and optionally synced across your devices via Apple iCloud (CloudKit). We do not operate our own servers to store your personal data.
Apple MapKit: We use Apple's MapKit for map display and place search. Apple's privacy policy applies to map data.
Apple StoreKit: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Shared guides and pins you choose to share are transmitted only to the recipients you select.
Your data remains on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you use the app. Deleting the app removes local data. iCloud data can be managed through your device's Settings > iCloud.
DropPin does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
